Learn how to view, edit, and manage your product variants effectively.
Viewing Variant Details
When you tap "View Details" on any variant from the Item Details page, you'll see the Variant Detail Page which includes:
Variant Information
- Variant ID - Unique identifier for this specific variant
- QR Code Button - Print QR codes for inventory management
- Variant Attributes - Size, color, brand, etc. (displayed as chips)
- Stock Information - Current quantity with visual indicators
- Green: Good stock levels
- Yellow: Low stock (approaching minimum)
- Red: Out of stock or very low
- Pricing Details - Both buying and selling prices
- Branch Location - Which branch this variant belongs to
Action Buttons
- Add to Cart - Quick add to sales
- View Item History - See all changes and transactions
- Adjust Quantity - Modify stock levels
- Edit Variant - Change variant details
Printing QR Codes
QR codes help with efficient inventory management and quick product lookup during sales.
How to Print QR Codes:
- Open the Variant Detail page
- Tap the QR Code button
- Connect to Bluetooth Printer (if you have one):
- Scan for available printers
- Select and connect to your printer
- Set print quantity (how many labels to print)
- Tap Print to generate QR labels

- Inventory Management - Fast scanning during stock counts

Editing Variants

:::warning Important Deleting a base item will also delete all its variants. This action cannot be undone. Make sure you really want to delete the item before proceeding. :::
How to Edit a Variant
To modify an existing variant:
Steps:
- Open the Variant Detail page
- Tap "Edit Variant" from the action buttons or 3-dot menu
- Update any of the following:
- Branch assignment - Move variant to different branch
- Supplier - Change who supplied this variant
- Variant attributes - Modify size, color, etc.
- Buying price - Update purchase cost
- Selling price - Adjust customer price
- Stock quantity - Change current stock level
- Minimum stock - Update reorder point
- Tap "Update Variant" to save changes
:::warning Price Changes When you change the selling price, it affects all future sales. Existing sales keep their original prices. :::
Adjusting Stock Quantities
For quick stock updates without editing the entire variant:
How to Adjust Quantity:
- Tap "Adjust Quantity" from the 3-dot menu or Variant Detail page
- Choose the adjustment type:
- Add Stock - Received new inventory
- Remove Stock - Damaged, lost, or sold outside the app
- Set Exact Amount - Override current quantity with a specific number
- Enter the amount
- Add a reason (optional but recommended for tracking)
- Tap "Save" or "Adjust"
When to Adjust Quantities:
- New deliveries - Add stock when you receive new products
- Damaged goods - Remove stock for unsellable items
- Theft or loss - Reduce stock for missing items
- Manual corrections - Fix counting errors
- Returns to supplier - Remove stock sent back

Stock Transfer Between Branches
Move inventory from one branch to another:
Method 1: From Variant Detail Page
- Open the Variant Detail page
- Tap "Transfer" from the 3-dot menu
- Transfer modal opens showing:
- Current branch - Source location (auto-filled)
- Destination branch - Select target branch from dropdown
- Quantity - Enter amount to transfer (max: available stock)
- Transfer note - Add reason or details (optional)
- Tap "Transfer"
- Stock moves from source to destination
Method 2: Bulk Transfer from Cart

- Verify destination branch before confirming
- Always add transfer notes for audit trails
- Check stock levels at both branches

Viewing Item History
Every change to a variant is tracked and recorded:

- Quantity adjustments (additions, removals)
- Price changes (buying and selling)
- Stock transfers between branches
- Variant attribute modifications

- Who made each change and when
How to View History:
- Open Variant Detail page
- Tap "View Item History" button
- See chronological list of all changes

Low Stock Alerts
Lemat Stock automatically alerts you when stock falls below the minimum level you set.
